Independent Scholarly Project
The course is an advanced course of study which is designed to guide students through the process of applying research principles to practice. This is done through the completion of a project on a topic chosen in the course MApM8.900 “Research in Applied Management” by the student and linked thematically to one of the cases studied in MApM9.200 Applied Management Capstone course. The research is a project that evaluates a problem process or audit. Where the student is unable to conduct the research, a systematic review based on the identified problem may be undertaken. The course is taken in conjunction with MApM9.200 Applied Management Capstone. The two courses provide students with the opportunity to both integrate prior learning in the capstone course and deepen an aspect of prior learning through supervised research related to the cases studied.
