Lean Management
This course focuses on gaining a management perspective of Lean principles, practices, and techniques from both a technical standpoint and the people perspective needed to effect the change and sustain the improvement. Emphasis is placed on developing the individual skills needed to become a Lean thinker and champion, and on building a roadmap for transitioning an organization from its current state to one of being a Lean operation.

Description
The learning outcomes for this course are:
Critically compare and analyse various concepts of Lean systems and their applications in the manufacturing and service environment
Identify and analyse the various management and statistical tools of Lean systems, and compare and contrast with other management tools
Explain in a comprehensive manner how Lean operations fit into an overall operations strategy
Identify key performance indicators and apply them to monitor and control the progress of Lean systems implementation
