Communication and Wellbeing
To develop the ability of ākonga to communicate professionally using verbal and non-verbal strategies within early childhood education environments. Ākonga will identify and apply approaches that support both their own health and wellbeing and that of the children in their care, with a focus on promoting physical and emotional wellbeing in early childhood education environments.

The learning outcomes for this course are:
Demonstrate the use of verbal and non-verbal professional communication strategies in early childhood settings
Identify and apply strategies to maintain personal health and wellbeing in the early childhood education context
Identify and apply strategies to support children’s physical and emotional wellbeing in an early childhood education setting
