Ara Institute of Canterbury has formalised a new partnership with Asiri Academy of Health Sciences, a division of Asiri Health in Sri Lanka, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
This marks the beginning of an exciting collaboration to explore international learning opportunities. Asiri Health, the largest private healthcare provider in Sri Lanka, operates six hospitals across the country and is now expanding its educational scope beyond health delivery. The MoU provides a framework for collaboration between Ara and Asiri Academy, who share a vision to strengthen education and create meaningful opportunities for students and communities in both countries.
“This agreement signals an exciting opportunity for Ara and Asiri Academy to explore academic pathways that connect learners and industries across Sri Lanka and Aotearoa,” said Deanna Anderson, Ara’s Head of Marketing and Recruitment.
“By sharing expertise, we aim to strengthen education and create meaningful opportunities for students and communities.”
“This collaboration with Ara New Zealand reflects our commitment to sharing expertise and creating broader educational opportunities for our students,” said Ashok Pathirage – Chairman of Softlogic Holdings PLC.
The collaboration creates a platform for Ara and Asiri Academy to connect, share insights and consider opportunities for collaboration over time, as both organisations continue to develop their international education ambitions.
