NZOIA Awards Recognize Ara Colleagues' Excellence

Last night (October 19th) the annual New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association (NZOIA) Outdoor Excellence Awards took place in the form of an online celebration.
Sam Aldrich and Jamie Marr, two former Ara Institute of Canterbury students were recognized during the evening – Sam as ‘Emerging Instructor’ and Jamie as ‘Emerging Guide’ - as were Tia Denovan-Stroud, a student at the Timaru Campus and Robbie Smith from Madras, who both received Tertiary Awards for 2020. These awards recognise “recently graduated guides and instructors who have shown outstanding potential during their studies.”
